Reno Fastpitch Softball is a Girls Recreational "B" Softball League. Our All Star teams provide skilled players the opportunity to experience "Competitive" Softball. Our League All Stars are selected by a "tryout" process. Each team normally nominates up to 4 players in each age division. All Stars are only selected during the Spring Season. ***Please Note*** Players that play "up" in the next age division due to skill levels during League play are eligible to try out for the applicable age division for All Stars. Example: Player "A" is a very skilled 10 and Under player. For safety concerns and skill development, the League agrees to let her play in the 12 & Under division during League play. Player "A" is eligible to try out for the 10 & Under All Star Team. Player "A" may only choose one age division to try out for, she cannot try out for both age divisions.
Players must be available to participate in the designated Practice and Tournaments dates to be eligible.
Selected Players are required to attend a "Tryout" day. They are ranked by All Star Coaches and Board Members based on skill level. The ranking categories are: Hitting, Fielding, Base Running, Throwing, Catching, and Outfielding Skills. Players are awarded additional points for demonstration of "Team" Skills (attitude and support) . |
